BarHookups Connect
A private way to meet people who are out at the same bar as you — with everyone's consent, and nobody's location.
Connect is in development. Nothing is switched on yet: no profiles are discoverable, no check-ins, no messages and no meeting requests. Here's what it will do when it opens.
How it will work
Discover consenting singles at the same bar
Choose to be visible while you're at a venue, and see other Connect members who chose the same. Only people who opted in ever appear — and only for as long as they're there.
Exchange mutual invitations
Interested in someone? Send an invitation. Nobody is contacted and nothing is revealed unless the other person accepts too — interest is only ever shared both ways.
Arrange an in-person meeting
When you have both accepted, arrange to meet at the venue, and use a short meeting code to confirm you've found the right person.
What Connect will never do
Connect records a venue, never your coordinates — and never tracks where you are.
Connect profiles are private by default. Nobody can browse you, and you decide who sees anything.
Check-ins, invitations, messages and meeting requests stay disabled until privacy and safety testing is signed off.
Block anyone, report anything, and hide or delete your profile whenever you want. Connect is for adults 21 and over.
Be told when Connect opens
We're preparing a one-time notification. It will be strictly opt-in: you'd give explicit consent to be emailed once about Connect, we'd use your address for nothing else, and you could withdraw at any time.
Launch notifications aren't available yet
There's no sign-up form to fill in and no way to register interest right now — nothing is being collected while Connect is still being built. When Connect is ready to open, the notification option will appear here.
We'll switch notifications on once our privacy and data-handling design has been approved — and not before.
